Mark Your Calendars: October 18-20, 2019 - Helvetia Days - Come celebrate Helvetia's Sesquicentennial (150th) Anniversary.  Founded in 1869, this small Swiss village celebrates 150 years of Swiss culture, food, and homesteading in West Virginia. Pickens High School seniors are writing a play to be performed community members, we will host a  square dance, go on a historic walk, and more.  Celebration plans are still in the works.  Mark your calendars and watch for more details soon.

Saturday, April 6. First Saturday Square Dance. Adults $5. Age 12 and under, $2. 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Star Band (Red) Hall.

Monday, April 8. Monthly meeting of the Helvetia Restoration and Development Organization. 4:00 p.m. at the Helvetia Public Library.

Wednesday, April 17. Farm Women's Club Meeting. 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 20. Pickens Ramp Supper.  Ramps, ham, cornbread, beans, fried potatoes, applesauce, cole slaw, and dessert. 2:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. American Legion Hall. $15 for adults, $5 for children under 12. 304-924-5813. Sponsored by Pickens Post 122 American Legion.

Wednesday, April 24. Helvetia Public Library Board of Trustees meeting. At the Library. 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 27. Helvetia Ramp Supper. Enjoy ramps, ham, fried potatoes, soup beans, coleslaw, applesauce, and cornbread with desserts and beverages. $15 adult, $7 ages 5 - 12, 4 and under are free. Starts at 2 p.m. A square dance with music by the Helvetia Star Band follows 8:00 - 11:00. $5. Community Hall.
