Wednesday, April 2. Randolph County School Board Officials will be at Pickens School to discuss the school levy and answer any questions. This school levy will be on the Randolph County ballot for the May 2008 primaries. There will be a covered dish supper at 6:00 p.m. with the presentation following. For those willing to bring a dish please do so. However, everyone is encouraged to attend.

Saturday, April 5. First Saturday Square Dance. Adults $5. Age 12 and under, $1. 8:00 p.m. Community Hall.

Monday, April 7. Farm Women's Club Meeting. In lieu of the meeting, the Farm Women will be cleaning ramps. To volunteer to assist with ramps, call Leslie White at 924-6668.

Tuesday, April 8. Monthly meeting of the Helvetia Restoration and Development Organization. 7:00 p.m. at the Helvetia Public Library.

Saturday, April 19. Pickens Ramp Supper. 2:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. American Legion Hall. Ramps, cornbread, beans, fried potatoes, applesauce, cole slaw, and dessert. $10 adults, $5 children under 12. Sponsored by Pickens Post 122 American Legion.

Saturday, April 26. Helvetia Ramp Supper. 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or when all food is gone. Community Hall. Fried and fresh ramps, beans, ham, fried potatoes, applesauce, cornbread, drink, and dessert. Volunteers will be preparing over 60 bushels of ramps, 300 pounds of ham, 60 pounds of beans, 480 pounds of potatoes, and 200 pounds of cabbage. $10 adults, $5 children under 12. Helvetia Community products will be available upstairs in the Community Hall. Dance 9:00 -12:00. Music by the Helvetia Star Band. $5 admission. Sponsored by the Farm Women and the Community Hall Association.
