Helpers needed for the Helvetia Ramp Supper. The ramps are cleaned and help is needed all day Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, for the event. Call Eleanor Betler at 304-924-5455 to volunteer or just be there.

Saturday, April 6. International Dinner. The theme is any type of food that's "different" to us or something that's popular in another country that we wouldn't normally eat. Just show up with your appetite or bring an international dish to share. Open to community members, their friends, and family. No charge. 6 p.m. at the Community Hall. Sponsored by the Helvetia Farm Women.

Saturday, April 6. First Saturday Square Dance. Adults $5. Age 12 and under, $2. 8:00 p.m. Community Hall.

Tuesday, April 9. Monthly meeting of the Helvetia Restoration and Development Organization. 6 p.m. at the Helvetia Public Library.

Saturday, April 20. Pickens Ramp Supper.  Ramps, ham, cornbread, beans, fried potatoes, applesauce, cole slaw, and dessert. 2:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. American Legion Hall. $12 for adults, $5 for children under 12. 304-924-5813. Sponsored by Pickens Post 122 American Legion.

Saturday, April 27. Helvetia Ramp Supper. Enjoy ramps, ham, fried potatoes, soup beans, coleslaw, applesauce, and cornbread with desserts and beverages. 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. or when the food is gone. Adults: $14, children ages 4-12: $7, children under 4 eat for free. A square dance with music by the Helvetia Star Band follows at 9:00. Admission: $5.
