August 12, 2006. ATV Poker Run. Registration begins at 10:00 AM at the Pickens Fire Hall and the ride ends at the Fire Hall at 4:00. Fee is $10.00 per ATV and $5.00 for passengers (Drivers are responsible for their Riders). Helmets required for under 18 riders or drivers. Refreshments sold at the Fire Hall. Tuesday, August 15. Monthly meeting of the Helvetia Restoration and Development Organization. 7 p.m. at the Helvetia Public Library.

Saturday, August 19. Chicken Supper. Enjoy fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, noodles, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, jelly, pickles, pie, and drinks. Supper will be served from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. or until the food is gone. Adults $10, Ages 5-12 $5, children 4 and under are free. The Square Dance is from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m with music by the Helvetia Star Band. Community Hall.

Volunteer Opportunity! If you would be available on Friday, August 18 or Saturday, August 19 to help with the Chicken Supper, you would be greatly appreciated. You don't have to work all day, even a few hours will make a difference. If you are busy during the day, there is still a fantastic opportunity to help with the cleanup on Saturday evening.
