Saturday, July 31. Swiss National Day Celebration #1. (There will be two celebrations this year.)

  • 5:00 p.m. Cookout in the meadow: bratwurst, fresh veggies, chips and dip, homemade cookies, and more. If there is rain, this will be moved to the Pavilion at the Community Hall.
  • 6:00 p.m. Traditional Swiss dancing, music, and singing.
  • 8:00 Square dance. Adults $5, students $2.

Saturday, August 7. Swiss National Day Celebration #2.

Monday, August 2. Farm Women's Club Meeting. 6:30 p.m.

Sunday, August 8. Father Otto (Bruce) Betler will perform his First Mass at Home at Sacred Heart Church in Pickens. 11:45 a.m. This will be followed by a reception at the family farm on the Hilltop. Bring a covered dish or finger food and join the celebration.

Monday, August 16. Helvetia Public Library Board of Trustees meeting. At the Library. 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, August 17. Monthly meeting of the Helvetia Restoration and Development Organization. 6 p.m. at the Helvetia Public Library.

Saturday, August 21. Work Day at the Community Hall. We need to do carpentry (repair the Pavillion), plumbing (hook up city water and add a water heater), electrical, cleaning, and cooking (fix lunch for the crew) to get ready for the Fair. 8:00 a.m. Contact Kevin Betler (betlers3@verizon.net, 304-924-5593) for more information.
